Review: 'Welcome Back'- the dose of full entertainment

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Shiney Ahuja and Shruti Haasan
Director: Anees Bazmee
Rating: ***/*****
  1. Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai have left the underworld, and are now big businessmen. Two women, Chandni and Maharani, enter their life. Chandni is the new love in Uday Shetty and Majnu's life and both friends dream of tying the knot with her. However, Appa - Uday's father, plays spoilsport by bringing in his other daughter, Ranjana. He tells Uday Shetty to get her married to someone from a good family. Maharani puts a condition that only after her sister is married, will Chandni will marry one of them. Now, a search to find a suitable husband for Ranjana starts.
  2. Eight years after ‘Welcome’, the crew is back. And the only question we are left asking is ‘why’?
  3. The original was full of obligatory silliness. It had the sexist jokes (Paresh Rawal, playing Dr Ghungroo, keeps turning his head wherever there is a full bosom, and getting thwacked across the face for his pains). It had the juvenile lines. It had the characters leaping and shouting. It was, basically, the big loud Bollywood comedy, with a plot that would make a wafer look thick, just situational gags, piled upon each other.
